Max earns his kite
WINDY DAY
The wind was blowing hard.
Max saw a colourful kite flying in the sky.
“Wow!” said Max. “I want a kite too!”
NO COINS
Max ran home and looked in his jar.
Clink, clink… just two coins!
“Oh no,” Max said.
“I need more for the kite.”
MOM’S IDEA
Mom smiled and said,
“You can earn coins, Max.
Help with jobs, and you’ll get more.”
Max’s eyes went big.
“Jobs? Like what?”
HELPING HANDS
First, Max picked up his toys.
He put all the blocks in the box.
Clap! Clap! “Great job,” said Mom.
She gave him one shiny coin.
MORE CHORES
Max helped water the flowers.
He even helped feed the dog!
Plop, plop, plop went the food in the bowl.
Mom gave him two more coins.
“Yay!” said Max.
SAVING UP
All week, Max worked hard.
He folded socks, wiped the table,
and put away the shoes.
Soon his jar was full of coins!
KITE TIME
Max ran to the shop with Mom.
He gave the man his coins.
“Here’s your kite!” the man said.
“Zoom! Whoosh!” The kite flew high in the blue sky.
Max laughed and shouted,
“I earned it!”
